WHY DO I TRAVEL?
When I travel, I learn about myself, the rest of the world and how I fit into it all.
Travel helps me to break from my routine and creates space for reflection.
I travel to remind myself that the only boundaries that truly exist are within ourselves and
I can experience anything if I am open and curious.

MY LATEST ADVENTURE: Germany
During June... I spent two weeks exploring Northeast Germany. I visited Berlin, Dessau, Potsdam and Hamburg.
For my third short term study abroad trip, I joined 20 students and Professor Mark Brack and Professor Ulrike Altenmüller-Lewis to learn about Architecture and Design. Before arriving I read The Ghosts of Berlin by Brian Ladd and began researching Studio Libeskind's newly completed Sapphire residential project for it's technologically advanced cladding designed to self-clean and aid in air purification. While on the trip I shot film and kept a visual journal to document my travels.

On being lazy and wishy-washy...
"The world doesn’t owe you anything, you owe the world something. So stop daydreaming and start DOING. Develop a backbone, not a wishbone. Take full responsibility for your life – take control. You are important and you are needed. It’s too late to sit around and wait for somebody to do something someday. Someday is now; the somebody the world needs is YOU." |
