During August... I spent 16 days exploring Iceland.
I was selected as a mentor for The Renewable Energy and Sustainability short term study abroad run by The GREEN Program for a second time. Along with 45 students, we focused on geothermal energy, hydroelectric power, exploring Gullgoss, Geysir, the Golden Circle, hot springs/pools, and hiked mountains, volcanoes and glaciers! The landscape was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. I hope to be lucky enough to visit these places decades in the future, but unfortunately they are disappearing and changing everyday. It was incredible to see young minds inspired and innovate towards the 19 sustainable development goals.
